We're heading back to the athletics track. On Saturday 31 October, 122 people will line up alongside Nedd at Lakeside Stadium to knock out a full marathon together, with a DJ and lighting to keep the energy up. Lap by lap, across one afternoon and into the night. One track. One team. One cracking way to finish NUC 2026.
When: Saturday 31 October 2026, from 5:00pm to 10:00pm. Max five hours to complete
Where: Lakeside Stadium, Athletics Track, Albert Park, Victoria
Who: 122 participants, chosen from applications. Open to anyone in the NUC community, from seasoned marathoners to first-timers
The format: Professionally timed with chip tracking. Participants are split into two groups: lanes 1 to 4 and lanes 5 to 8
The goal: The mission is to support Australians experiencing homelessness through We Are Mobilise
Cost: Free. We will need you to find your own way to the track!
What is included: PUMA will deck you out in a pair of PUMA's NITRO™ running shoes and apparel. We will also include physio and a fuel station trackside.

FAQ
Do I need to be able to complete a marathon?
Yes. The 122 of you will take on the marathon together, split across two groups. We'll sort out your group, lane and lap allocation and let you know before the day. You'll have five hours from 5:00pm to get it done.
Does it cost anything?
Nope, no entry fee. The Trackathon is all about finishing NUC with a bang and raising money for We Are Mobilise. So we'll ask you to fundraise through your NUC page, and we'll give you everything you need to rally your mates behind you.
Are travel, flights and accommodation covered?
No, those are on you. If you're coming from interstate or regional Victoria, you'll need to sort out and pay for your own travel, flights and accommodation in Melbourne. Lakeside Stadium is in Albert Park, so it's worth booking somewhere nearby.
Do I need to be registered for NUC 2026?
Not to apply, but we'd love you to be. The 10-day challenge runs 19 to 28 October, and the Trackathon is the perfect finish line. Sign up here.
What's provided on the night?
PUMA are decking you out with full kit, running shoes and all. Then there's professional chip timing, pacers, physio and fuel stations trackside, a DJ, and Nedd out on the track running it with you.
Can I bring supporters?
Absolutely. Mates, family, cheer squads, the louder the better. Everyone's welcome trackside at Lakeside Stadium, and we'll send through all the details once you've locked in your spot.
When will I hear back?
