My challenge is uncomfortable for me because...

It is super scary and vulnerable to have to put myself out there to a stranger, even in low-stakes settings! Over time, I think I've found myself with fewer and fewer reasons to stretch out into totally cold or unfamiliar environments, and there are fewer places where I've had to face up to real, in-person rejection. 

For many Australian's, staying within emotionally safe social interactions is just not a privilege that they've been afforded. Surviving a period of homelessness, or even avoiding a period of homelessness, requires a serious amount of vulnerability around strangers. It might be an ask for financial support or maybe a couch to crash on - ultimately, personal feelings about putting yourself out there have to come second, when your health and safety are on the line. 

My personal challenge might seem a little small, but right now it definitely feels big! Going to be an uncomfortable 10 days but I wonder who I might meet by the end of the journey...
