Enter Your School Community in Australia's most Uncomfortable challenge yet.
In 2024, Nedd Brockmann created Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge to inspire Australians to join him in the movement to fight homelessness in Australia - supporting Australia's most vulnerable people!
Schools can take part in whatever way works best for them. Most schools will be doing a 10-day challenge from 20–29 October, but some schools are also opting for a one-day challenge during that week (or another time that suits better). We can help you keep it simple!
It’s a fun and engaging way for students and teachers to build resilience, step outside of their comfort zone, and encourages them to make an impact by contributing to something bigger than themselves.

Find out what other schools have to say about Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge
Taking part in Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge with my Grade 6 class was easily one of the highlights of our school year. As a group, we decided to go without tables and chairs for two whole weeks! It started as a simple way to push ourselves outside our comfort zones, but it quickly turned into something much more powerful. The students embraced the challenge with open minds and such great attitudes. They problem-solved, adapted, and supported each other every step of the way. By the end, they were saying things like “I’m really proud of myself”, “I didn’t think I could do that”, and “It feels good knowing we’ve made a difference.” It was eye-opening not just for the kids, but for us teachers too. They discovered strengths they didn’t know they had, and we had some of the most honest and meaningful conversations we’ve had all year about comfort, privilege, and resilience. I honestly can’t recommend the Uncomfortable Challenge highly enough, especially for senior students. It’s a unique, real-world experience that sparks growth, reflection, and connection all while supporting a brilliant cause. We'll absolutely be back this year!
