My challenge is uncomfortable for me because...
Running is one thing, being consistent is another. Showing up every single day, no matter the weather or how busy you are is the challenge for me.
I often think of a time in my future when I won’t be able to think and move the way I can now, and it motivates me to make the most of the mind and body I have today.
It’s an honor and a privilege to be able to choose uncomfortable things when so many have no choice at all. This is why I want to do the challenge this year. To raise awareness for an issue close to my heart.
Experiencing homelessness was the most stressful time in my life and running was the last thing on my mind.
Now, with homelessness in my past, I want to get uncomfortable in the hope that someone else won’t have to - even if only for a day.
