My Challenge is to...
Run 333.1km in 10 days
EVERY DAY FOR 10 DAYS IN 2025
My challenge is uncomfortable for me because...
Beat a challenge I did last year for mental health. It was all month, and I ran 333km and raised $5000. Watching the great and powerful Nedd Brockmann get about his work around that track was incredible. So this year, I want to do that amount of kms, 333kms in the 10 days. More importantly, I want to smash the $5000. I met Noah at the milk run in Canberra. Couldn’t have been a nicer bloke, whilst handing out milk to a thirsty crowd. Now I want to do my part. I love what you guys are about, love the people that are involved. Let’s fucking do something. Excuse the language, but I’m fired up. Let’s fucking go 🚀🚀🚀🚀🚀
My Updates

15 weeks out
Sunday 13th JulNo one will really read this. So I thought I would explain my real reasons for this challenge. This isn’t a physical challenge; I need to tick a box for it. I hate filming myself. That video for the challenge announcement was only fun for Sorsha, who filmed it. I threw something wild out there that truly makes me uncomfortable, and I really am not sure how I will complete it. I said I would, now I shall. Now the why. When I started my marathon block (late December), I ran around the lake a lot. I ran past a man camped under the entertainment stage at the lake. Not too far off where you would start the parkrun. In the back of my mind, I always thought about him as I went past. I decided to go and sit down and talk to him one day. Lovely person. Just a few things had not gone his way. We talked about life, then offered things that he might need. I would drop in from time to time. Fast forward a few weeks coming up to New Year’s. Tuggeranong would host their New Year’s celebrations. He was kicked out three days before. The bin near the start of the parkrun was full of stuff I had purchased, food, water, etc. I haven’t seen or heard from him since. It’s tough because I doubt that was his decision to leave that behind. He was a lovely man, kicked out of a place he felt comfortable. It was a place that had a power outlet as well! Small things we take for granted. Power, water, food, and shelter. If you can combine stability on top of that, you have to be thankful. I’ll leave this post here because I find it hard to convey why I am doing this. The majority of people, this is an, “Ohh, look, he is doing some running challenge. Cool.” The surface-level content I will post will look like that. For the people that have taken the time to read this. Just know that I strongly believe in the team at We are Mobilise. I am emotionally connected to this challenge, and that provides the why. When all hell breaks loose on this challenge, I will look back at the flying legend Nedd. Simply ask myself, what would Nedd Brockmann do? He will power on. As long as my legs work, so will I. If you have gotten to this point. Fire up and thank you!
