My name is Jason Hobson. I’m a husband, dad and small business owner and I’ve always enjoyed helping others. If doing something difficult can make a difference in someone else’s life, I’m in.

Last year, I completed Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge with my mate Nige, riding 1,100km over 10 days and personally raising almost $23,000. The experience opened my eyes to the scale of homelessness and showed me firsthand the incredible impact the money raised through Mobilise can have.

The Rotto600 was born from that experience. Nige and I wanted to create a unique Western Australian challenge that would push us physically, start important conversations and raise much-needed funds to support people experiencing homelessness.

I have the ability to suffer for a few days and if that effort can help people who don’t have the same opportunities, support or safe place to call home, then it’s absolutely worth doing.

We Are Mobilise is an Australian charity working to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness find and maintain safe, stable housing. Mobilise works alongside a national network of specialist homelessness organisations, providing direct financial support where it can make the biggest difference.

All donations made through the Rotto600 fundraising page will support We Are Mobilise’s programs, helping provide practical, timely assistance to people experiencing or at risk of homelessness and giving them a greater opportunity to find a safe and stable place to call home.
