My challenge is uncomfortable because standing in front of a room full of strangers and telling them my story still makes me nervous every single time - no matter how many times I've done it. Last year I pushed my body through 175km. This year I'm pushing through something harder to outrun: the fear of being seen, of being vulnerable in front of 50 different school halls full of young people I've never met. But I know what's on the other side of that discomfort. I know that somewhere in each of those rooms is a kid who needs to hear that it gets better, and who needs to know there's a way to get connected to help. So I'll keep walking out on stage, heart racing, because their story matters more than my nerves do.
