Tuesday 11th Aug69 days until Ned's Uncomfortable Challenge Starts!!.
I've just signed up to raise $1000 for homeless and to say I'm excited is an understatement!!
I will be completing an full Ironman, over 10 days
Over 122, 000 people in Australia experience homelessness and only 6% are those living on the streets? The other 94% is experiencing 'hidden' homelessness.
I wanted to do something about that!
Nedd's Uncomfortable Challenge have partnered with We are Mobilise, a charity who move money directly from funders/donors to individuals in housing crisis. They provide care packages and warm meals in collaboration with more than 50+ established housing and community service partners nationwide.
I've joined the Campus Consultancy team, to support and encourage me every step of the way.
My role, to complete an ironman, involves a:
3.8 km swim
180 km bike ride
42.2 km run
The first, and arguably my hardest step will be to warm up to the idea of running a marathon between now and mid-October.
