My challenge is uncomfortable for me because...

As a Teacher I want to be a positive role model to the students at our school and the younger generation coming through. By stepping outside your comfort zone and breaking down goals that seem impossible step by step, you can achieve what you put your mind to and the world is yours. Either way by attempting uncomfortable things, you will grow as a human being and come out stronger on the other side. Doing this and being able to raise awareness for such a cause is contagious, showing that we can make a difference in not only our community but our world. Time to get after it!

And it means something: every dollar I raise goes to We Are Mobilise, helping people experiencing homelessness across Australia get back on their feet. If you can chuck something in, you're part of it too. Lesssgo.

Day 5 of NUC

Friday 23rd Oct
105km in 5 days so far and only half way there. 

I am lucky enough to be able to chose to do challenging things that get me uncomfortable, unfortunately some aren't so fortunate. I think the real resilient people are the ones who deal with losing loved ones or haven't got a roof over their head and battling to find a place to sleep at night. I think they're the strong people in our world who aren't often seen but my thoughts go out the people taking on their battles in silence.

Weather was cooking outside, definitely the most difficult one yet! A good reminder that these days when we feel at our worst or find things difficult, it's important to stay true to yourself and we stick to what we say we are going to do. I think these days are way more important than the days that we feel perfect, it's a true test of character and it's a privilege to be in a position like this.
