My Challenge is to...

12.2 Kilometres of running per day for 10 days.

for Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge

My challenge is uncomfortable for me because...

The challenge - from the 19th to the 28th October, I will be running 12 kilometres a day.

My challenge gives me an opportunity to practise goal-setting, push myself beyond my comfort zone and work towards outcomes that may initially feel uncomfortable. I see this as a valuable opportunity for personal growth, and I am motivated to extend that opportunity to the Pennant Hills High School community — including students, teachers and families.

I have followed this challenge since its inception and have been inspired by the way it has encouraged individuals and communities to take on uncomfortable challenges in order to grow, build resilience and better themselves. By undertaking the challenge myself, I hope to lead by example and encourage others in my local community to set their own goals, step outside their comfort zones and take part alongside me.

What makes the challenge even more meaningful is that it goes beyond personal growth by also raising awareness and funds for people experiencing homelessness. This combination of challenging ourselves while contributing to a broader social cause is a major reason why I want to take part and invite my local community to be involved

Something that I took from Nedd for this challenge — “Tell your own story. A half-marathon, an ocean swim, meditation, cycling 100 kilometres, reading 100 pages of a book, or walking more than ever - whatever sits outside your comfort zone. If it makes you uneasy, you're on the right track. The discomfort matters because for 122,000 Australians, being uncomfortable isn't a choice.”

Looking forward to the 19-28th October 2026!

As we approach the timeline for this event to occur, it is important that we prepare ourselves for what is set to be a challenging experience.

In particular, I will be continuing to advocate for this challenge to the local community as I want to get as many people as possible involved and pushing themselves!
