On Friday the 8th November, Grade 5P ran their final laps of the basketball court after being inspired by Nedd Brockmann, who recently ran 1600km in 12 days around a track in Sydney to raise money for homelessness. Their class hosted a free dress day in support of Grade 5P’s Uncomfortable Challenge. It was suggested that people may dress as Nedd if they wished, and there were some fantastic costumes. Mr V and Mr Harris even got involved by dressing up too! All money raised went to Mobilise, a charity for Australian homelessness. The class finished their laps in front of the whole school after the Friday gathering. In total, the students ran 1865 laps of the basketball court, which accumulates to over 155km collectively! As a school, we raised $193.60 and had loads of fun!
