Nedd's Uncomfortable Challenge : CAMP NUC

YOUR CHANCE TO BE PART OF AN INCREDIBLE WEEKEND WITH NEDD

Have a once-in-a-lifetime experience to become an Ambassador for NUC, including flights to Sydney to run with Nedd and support from Team NUC to tell your story and fund raise for Mobilise.

Last year, three Nedd's Uncomfortable Challenge participants did something remarkable. With support from Team NUC to tell their stories and rally their networks, they raised more than $150,000 between them to combat homelessness across Australia. Three people.

So this year we're going bigger. We're selecting 40 people from across the country to join Nedd in Sydney from 8 to 10 August for a weekend you won't forget. We'll cover your flights, get you in the room with Nedd and the rest of Team NUC, and give you everything you need to tell your story and fundraise properly. From there, you'll take on your own challenge between 18 and 29 October and bring your audience along for the journey.

You don't need to be an elite runner or have thousands of followers. You just need a story worth telling and the drive to make a difference.

FAQ

Do I have to be a good runner?

No. Nedd's Uncomfortable Challenge is about taking on a challenge that's uncomfortable for you. The City2Surf is 14km, and plenty of people walk it, so as long as you're keen to give it a crack, we're on.

Do I have to pay to get there?

No. If you're selected as a NUC Ambassador, we cover your flights and accommodation. You just get yourself to your local airport on 8 August. You will be flown to Sydney as a volunteer for NUC from 8-10 August.

Do I need a big following?

Not at all. We're after people with a story and a community who'll back them, even a small one. It could be your community, sporting club, workplace, you just need people who will listen. We will help you tell your story.

What dates do I need to be free?

Camp NUC runs from 8-9 August, and flying out on 10 August in Sydney. The challenge itself runs 19 to 28 October.

Is there a fundraising target?

We would like our Camp NUC ambassadors to lead the charge, and show others how it is done. In 2024, we had 3 participants raise $150,000 total, so with our help, let's aim high.

A DOLLAR TO WE ARE MOBILISE MEANS SUPPORTING LOCAL CHARITIES AROUND AUSTRALIA.

We Are Mobilise works with a network of charity partners to distribute funding to those facing homelessness across Australia. These charities identify who would benefit from Mobilise’s programs and help the participants get the most out of the funding! Rather than duplicating, they want to amplify the incredible work other charities are already doing in this space.
