My Challenge is to...

Completion of 122km over 10 days round a 1.22km circuit

for Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge

My challenge is uncomfortable for me because...

Since the birth of our second child Ned (!), I have struggled for time to do any cardio, running or fitness. I have found a circuit near home that is 1.22km long - reflecting the sad fact that 122,000 people are homeless each night in Australia.  

Every dollar I am able to raise goes to We Are Mobilise, helping people experiencing homelessness across Australia get back on their feet. 

I will be doing 100 laps of this course over 10 days, totalling 121.1km. The course will also take me up around 2,200 metres elevation, about the same as Mt Kosciuszko from sea level. 

Would appreciate any help you can provide to get me through the 10 days and to help people in need!

The Course

A quick description of the circuit I'll be tracking around. 

It is located within Centennial Park in Adelaide, a beautiful cemetery on the side of a gently sloping hill, with spectacular views to the coast in one direction and the Adelaide Hills in another. 

The cemetery is a place of quiet contemplation for many. It is a peaceful and generally very relaxed environment. 

It has wide roads and very little traffic and many different routes that can be taken. 

The circuit I chose has no flat parts - it's either gently uphill, or gently downhill. A bit like life itself, with parts that feel easy and others that feel hard.

Look out for pictures once the challenge starts in earnest.
