Duo Description
Two mates, two cities, one cause. Mareck is in Sydney and will run/walk 12.2km every day for 10 days, starting at 6am. Jack is down in Wollongong, alternating a 12.2km run and a 49.4km bike ride, day after day.
Those distances aren’t random. On Census night, 122,494 people in Australia were experiencing homelessness, and our distances are built around the numbers behind that. Every kilometre stands for something real.
Neither of us is doing this because it’s comfortable. We want to know what we’re capable of, and you only find that out when things get hard. We’ve all got more in us than we think, and we’re about to prove it.
Every dollar we raise goes to We Are Mobilise, helping people experiencing homelessness across Australia get back on their feet. If you can chuck something in, you’re part of it too. Every bit helps, and we’ll be thinking of you on the tough kilometres.
