My Challenge is to...

Pick up 1000 pieces of rubbish per day

for Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge

My challenge is uncomfortable for me because...

Every time I head out for a run, I’m blown away by just how much rubbish is scattered along the paths. As a nature lover and current biodiversity conservation student, it’s something that’s always bothered me.

So for this year’s Nedd’s Uncomfortable Challenge, I’m doing something about it.

For 10 days, I’ll collect 1,000 pieces of rubbish every single day from the places I run most often. That’s 10,000 pieces of litter off our streets, parks and trails.

At the same time, I’m raising money for We Are Mobilise, helping people experiencing homelessness across Australia get back on their feet. Every cent I make from recycling the bottles and cans I collect will be donated too.

The goal is $1,500enough to provide one month of housing for someone in need.

If you can chuck in a few dollars, I’d really appreciate it. Every donation helps, every piece of rubbish removed makes a difference, and if you donate, you’re part of it too. ❤️♻️
