My challenge is uncomfortable for me because...
it forces me to sit with uncertainty, vulnerability, and dependence on others.
I’m trying to experience what it feels like to not know when, or if, your next meal is coming. To feel the discomfort of depending on others for something as simple as food, and the vulnerability that comes with asking.
On top of this, I’ll be learning how disorienting it is to have no control over things like light, noise, temperature, or the feeling of being exposed, and what it’s like to try and function on poor-quality sleep.
This challenge isn’t about replicating homelessness. It’s about sitting with discomfort, letting go of control, and gaining a small window into what it means to live without the safety nets many of us take for granted.
